Miami’s Versace mansion sold for $ 41,5 million
Auction house Fisher Auction Company held an auction for the sell of Gianni Versace’s mansion ,Casa Casuarina, bought by the designer in 1992. The winning bidder was the company VM South Beach, who own the Hotel Victor next door on Ocean Drive, and got the villa for the sum of $ 41,500,000 (the initial value of the lot was $ 25.5 million). At the end of the auction company representative said that the villa in the future will become a hotel under the name Versace Hotel Villa.
“They’re so thrilled they can now combine these properties to offer top-quality entertainment and hospitality to their customers,” said Ralph Bekkevold, a shareholder at Greenberg Traurig in Miami, who represents the winning bidders.
Others bidders were Donald Trump — who deployed his son, Eric Trump, to bid on his behalf at the court-ordered bankruptcy sale — bid as high as $41 million for the iconic South Beach estate, and a third bidder who had put up a $3 million deposit to participate in the auction — Palm Beach Polo and Country Club owner Glenn Straub — made a single bid and stopped, leaving the Hotel Victor interests and Trump to duke it out, according to Lamar P. Fisher, of Fisher Auction, which conducted the auction on the site.( source miamiherald.com)
“The exterior of the building is deceptively simple, but the inside is all about grandiosity. Versace purchased the property in 1992 and spent $33 million in renovating it, adding a wing and making additional upgrades. Each room is decorated in a fantasy theme.
The house, which has hand-painted murals and ornate statues throughout, boasts a 54-foot, mosaic-inlaid pool lined in 24-karat gold.” -miamiherald.com

Burberry’s spring/summer 2014 nail polishes collection
Just in two weeks on the official website of Burberry will begin selling the new spring/summer 2014 collection of nail polishes all of them have been presented at the show of the brand last week during London Fashion Week.
Christopher Bailey recommends that each of the six colors (Rose Pink ,Dusky Mauve ,Sage Green , Pale Yellow, Pale Grape ,Mink) to be combined in the tone with the bag of the new spring/summer collection,of course.
A month earlier the brand introduced the debut collection of nail polish, which includes three shades: milky white Stone, dark red Oxblood and graphite black Poppy Black.
Despite its rather high price (£ 90 for the six lacquers in the original box Burberry), the set, no doubt, will be the object of desire for all who love manicures.

Four Season Milan celebrates fashion week with “Chic”olate Room
Opened in 1993, as a second property in Europe, the Four Seasons Hotel Milano celebrated its first twenty years on September 12. In the historic cloister of Via Gesu for the occasion magnificently staged by Vincenzo Dascanio playing on the theme of the four seasons, in honor of the name of the brand, the general manager Finizzola Vincent and the hotel manager Carlo Stragiotto, with all the staff of the hotel , welcomed guests, friends and many familiar faces, including Teresa Missoni, Tancredi Cordero di Montezemolo, Giorgio Forattini, Gaetano and Albertina Marzotto, Christian Versace, Massimiliano Finazzer Flory, Davide Oldani, Matteo Thun and Cesare Prandelli: a parade of celebrities , as if to symbolize the constant striving for excellence of this true icon of luxury hospitality in Milan.Music, glamour and a buffet that gave a look on food and hotel in the city famous for innovation and quality and “madness” (have you ever seen the Room of Chocolate, with dedicated chef and “decorated” by hundreds of chocolates?).
At the core of it are the Hotel’s inimitable advantages: its strategic central position in the luxury fashion district of Milan. At once classic and contemporary, elegant and dynamic, as a symbol of hospitality for the city, the Hotel is the meeting room of Milan, host to important functions and stunning events. Helmed by head chef Sergio Mei, a pillar of classic Italian cuisine recognized around the world, the Hotel champions an award-winning and exciting culinary culture – from La Veranda’s menu created from the country’s finest produce, to the magical Chocolate Room modeled entirely from chocolate, the epic Chef’s Table, the unforgettable cooking lessons, Sunday brunch and extraordinary dinners organized in collaboration with the best wine labels.
The Spa, designed by Patricia Urquiola, underscores the Hotel’s continued commitment to design and innovation. The modern wellness and beauty space also reveals a 14 metre (46 foot) lap pool — a rare jewel in the city centre.
And to celebrate this fashion week season the hotel reopened their legendary Chocolate Room, which opens every year under a different theme. This year it is dedicated to fashion and it is renamed “Chic”olate Room.
“Fifteen two-metre high panels clad the room’s walls – each carefully decorated and painted with chocolate depicting fashion sketch-style on-trend silhouettes, mixed with fashion prints and camouflage patterns. This next to, plinths stacked with chocolate bags and stilettos, and chocolate busts decorated with elaborate necklaces and hand-painted hats.
Created by Pastry Chef Johannes Walk, he got his inspiration from Milan’s fashion district of picturesque streets fronted with luxury boutiques — a short stroll from the Hotel itself.
Using 120 kilograms of dark, milk and white French chocolate, it took Johannes over 100 hours to create the room. A life-sized chocolate mannequin clad in a dress made of ribbons and discs of white, dark and milk chocolate is the room’s masterpiece.
“When guests walk in here their jaws drop. It is so exciting to watch them react to the room — every one really is like a child in a candy store,” Johannes said.” -luxurylaunches.com
